RMR Real Estate Income Fund Announces Board and Management Changes

Jennifer Clark Appointed as a Managing Trustee Following Mark Kleifges’s Retirement

Brian Donley Appointed Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RMR Real Estate Income Fund (NYSE American: RIF) today announced that Jennifer B. Clark has been appointed as a Managing Trustee and Brian E. Donley has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, both effective January 1, 2019.

Ms. Clark joined The RMR Group (Nasdaq: RMR) in 1999 and has been a member of the senior executive team since that time. Ms. Clark will continue to serve as Managing Director, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of RMR, Managing Trustee of Senior Housing Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SNH) and a Director of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Private). Prior to joining RMR in 1999, Ms. Clark was a partner at the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP, where she had a broad based real estate and finance practice.

Mr. Donley has served in various finance and accounting leadership roles at RMR since 1997. Mr. Donley is also a certified public accountant. Mr. Donley has also been recently appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Hospitality Properties Trust (Nasdaq: HPT).

Both Ms. Clark and Mr. Donley succeed Mark Kleifges who is retiring and therefore resigning from his positions with RIF and RMR effective December 31, 2018. To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Kleifges will remain a non-executive employee of RMR until June 30, 2019. Both the RIF and RMR Boards are grateful for Mr. Kleifges’s many years of service to the companies.
